Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have completed Intermediate (12th) with Physics & Mathematics from a recognized board.
• Essential Qualification: “O” Level certificate in Computer Applications from DOEACC/NIELIT or an equivalent government-recognized qualification.
• Alternative Qualification: Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, or other equivalent recognized institutions.

Desirable Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Two years of service in the Territorial Army
  • NCC “B” Certificate holders

The selection for Computer Operator Grade-A will be conducted as per the Uttar Pradesh Police Computer Employee Cadre (Non-Gazetted) Service Rules 2011 (Amended 2015).

1. Written Examination:
   • 200 marks, objective-type OMR-based
   • 160 questions covering General Knowledge, Mental Aptitude, Reasoning, and Computer Science
2. Typing Test:
   • Candidates who clear the written exam (minimum 40% marks) will appear for a typing test:
     • Hindi: 25 WPM
     • English: 30 WPM
3. Document Verification:
   • Verification of educational, caste, and other certificates
4. Final Merit List:
   • Based on normalized written test scores and reservation policy
