Please Note: The vacancies are tentative and subject to change based on the final requirements of the participating forces. It is also important to know that 10% of vacancies are reserved for Ex-servicemen (ESM), and for most forces, recruitment is done on a State/Union Territory-wise basis.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality & Domicile

  • You must be a citizen of India.
  • As recruitment is largely state-wise, you must possess and will need to submit a valid Domicile Certificate or Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) from the state/UT you apply from. (Candidates from Assam and specified categories like West Pakistani Refugees are exempt as per official rules).

2. Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

  • You must be between 18 and 23 years old.
  • This means your date of birth must fall between 02-01-2003 and 01-01-2008.

    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years (after deducting military service)

3. Educational Qualification (as on 01-01-2026)

  • You must have passed the Matriculation (10th Class) examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Candidates who have not passed by the cut-off date of 01-01-2026 are not eligible and should not apply.
  • NCC certificate holders are eligible for bonus marks of up to 5% in the written exam.

Pay Scale & Salary

All selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-3 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay scale ranging from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month. In addition to the basic pay, the posts carry government allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and other benefits.

Multi-Stage Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE): The first hurdle is an online objective test of 60 minutes with 80 questions (carrying 2 marks each). It covers:
